Ecumenical Commission for Human Development is an independent, ecumenical, Christian, advocacy, humanitarian relief assistance, and development organization to call one another to visible unity in one faith, expressed in worship and common life in Christ, through witness and service.
ECHD works with vulnerable children, young adults, people with disability, women, transgender communities and religious minorities, irrespective of race, faith, color, sex, economic status, or political opinion.
ECHD are utilizing different working approaches by providing emergency assistance in disasters, long-term development cooperation, strengthening fellowship with churches for religious amity and advocating for justice, peace and care for creation with communities, religious leaders, public authorities, media and other stakeholders.
It takes more than just emergency relief and aid to create a better world. The privileged must be challenged to accept their responsibility towards human rights. Members of our network receive notification every time we begin a campaign against people and organizations in power and can take part in our campaigns and demand justice by, for example, sending e-mails or supporting a particular action.
